Rehoboth Open Bible Church is an affiliate of the Open
Bible Churches Incorporated, in Des Moines, Iowa and was founded
by Rev. and Mrs. Easton Grant. Our charter service was held on
December 10, 1978 in a borrowed church in Brooklyn, New York
with ten persons in attendance. Subsequently, services were held
at the home of Rev. Easton Grant for three years with the
attendance increasing to an average of seventy-five persons.
In October 1981 the present building situated at 5102 Avenue D
in Brooklyn was purchased, and worship commenced at this
location on Sunday, October 26, 1981 – the service was
officiated by the founding pastor Rev. Easton Grant. Pastor
Grant relocated to Springfield Virginia in 1985, and was
succeeded by Rev. Edly Roper who served for seven years. The
church grew under the leadership of both Pastors.
Dr. H. Dennis Campbell and
First Lady Esther Campbell resigned and relocated to South
Carolina in August 2010. The Church Board, under the
leadership of Elder Norman Clayton, capably led the church in
the interim. We now welcome Rehoboth’s fourth Pastor-
Rev. Leroy Spencer
as he obeys the voice of God
and picks up the mantle of the pastorate.
The scope of our ministry has expanded over the years. God
